Following 12 years as a highly regarded editor, Gerry moved into directing with Faith, Hope and Plastic, his acclaimed study of Lourdes. The film established his reputation for imaginative, thoughtful storytelling.

With four decades of experience, Gerry works across every stage of filmmaking - as a writer, director, photographer and editor. He is also a peer-reviewed author.

His work has taken him across the world, the Americas, Arabia, Africa, India, Asia and the Middle East, as well as throughout his native Ireland. Yet, wherever a project takes him, he is never more at home than in the edit suite.
