The edit is where Gerry is most at home and excels. Gerry spent twelve years as a much in demand editor. Collaborating on many documentary, factual, commercial, and corporate projects.
His edit career charted the migration from film to tape (inc. 1 Inch & beta) and to digital. Gerry was the first Irish editor to use Avid; pioneering the use of NLE.
Renowned for his creative flair, Gerry is particularly strong on Story Structure. Even throughout his directing career Gerry had a hands, collaborative approach to the edit.
Winning the International Television Award for editing craft (pre IFTA).
