In 2010 came a career highlight as Gerry was delighted to work with FQC Media to provide video content for the United Arab Emirates pavilion at EXPO 2010 Shanghai. Set in a Golden Sand Dune - designed by acclaimed architecture firm Foster + Partners - the space consisted of 300 cubes arranged in sculptural 3d forms. Working closely with a team of 3D artists, Gerry helped to create a stunning virtual world where more than a million visitors 'met' Emirati's and learned about their lives. It was a perfect marriage of Gerry’s skills as a documentary filmmaker and his embracing of cutting-edge technology.
